The paving for 2006 is complete. We have paved 3 complete cul-de-sacs, 1 partial cul-de-sac, and the complete length of Prairie Creek Blvd. The uneven road surface over the drainage ditch in the middle of Prairie Creek Blvd is now smooth and level.
Sunland Paving did the work and the total for the entire job was $263, 214.84, and a total of 3040.76 tons of asphalt was laid. When we finish all the roads we should be able to reduce that part of the assessment for the Road Reserve to an amount that will gradually build it over a 25-30 year period.
Two new members, Joe Konkolics, and Dave Akerstrom have been elected to serve as directors for 2007, 2008. At the upcoming board meeting on December 12 the new board will elect the officers to serve for 2007.
The board voted to fill the two vacancies on the board with Dieter Beermann and Charlotte Brezing. They will serve the remaining terms that end on December 31, 2007.

The front gate is now capable of full operation. The gate controllers have been set to the 'locked open' position until someone can come up with a viable plan to utilize the gates as the access control device for which they were intended.

The board is now working with several members to get bids ready for the paving to be done in 2007. Ian Dack, who is an engineer working in the county road department, is leading the way with input from several experienced park members. We should have the package ready to send out for bids in the next week or so.
The board is also getting the new contracts ready for mowing and park maintenance. This is a work in progress and I will update the web site when something concrete is ready.

The board is now working on a final draft of the mowing and maintenance contract. We should approve one at the March 13th meeting.
We have sent the invitation to bid out to 4 paving contractors. One has responded and based on that bid we expect that Hidden Valley Circle and all the its adjacent cul-de-sacs will be paved in this next phase. The price of asphalt is down and we are going to be able to do more miles than in 2006.

Dreamscapes was selected as the grounds/maintenance contractor for the years of 2007, 2008. Dreamscapes is the present contractor.
We are still working with the paving contractors to arrive at a proposal for the paving project for 2007. We are planning on paving all of Hidden Valley Circle and its adjacent cul-de-sacs.
The following statement concrning the lawsuit was suggested by our attorney. "We have reached a settlement in principle at mediation and are preparing the final papers."

Sunland Paving will begin phase two of the Park paving program on June 18th. They will begin by leveling on Hidden Valley Circle in the deep rutted areas. This leveling will then 'sit' while the cul-de-sacs are paved and then the finish coarse will be applied to Hidden Valley Circle.
The replacement/upgrade of the culvert pipe at the front entrance has been 95% completed. It only needs the trees removed and cement collars installed. This should improve the flooding situation at the entrance.

The culvert pipe at the front entrance has been replaced and Hidden Valley Circle and all its cul-de-sacs have been paved. Sunland Paving, the company that has done all the roads so far, came out and did the repaving of the culvert pipe "FREE OF CHARGE" just because we have been such a good customer. Our thanks go out to Sunland.
