ABOUT Chuck Kindle

I am presently living in the Fort Myers, Punta Gorda area of Florida, and wish to offer my services to people in this area.

During my 32 years with IBM, I helped design, program, and implement computer systems ranging from main frames to desk tops. A significant part of this time was spent training new PC system users. Typically these were people who were interested in effectively using their PC's on the job but, who were not interested in becoming 'computer nerds'.

SYSTEM SELECTION AND CONFIGURATION
With the hundreds of choices in manufacturers, software packages, operating systems, hardware types and sizes, a new user can be overwhelmed into inaction. I can help you select and install the hardware that will meet your present requirements, while protecting you investment for the future.

PC HARDWARE
If you need to select and install PC peripherals such as networks, hard drives, modems, video cards, etc., then I can help. I have no affiliation with any PC or peripheral manufacturer or dealer and my only aim is to help people choose and use the PC system that will do the job they need to do.

PC SOFTWARE
I have successfully installed hundreds of software products on large mainframes and PCs. The products included spreadsheets, databases, local area networks, financial packages, utilities, operating systems, (WINDOWS NT, WINDOWS 95, OS/2, PC and MS/DOS). I can explain the value and pitfalls of many software packages and assist you in a learning the new program.
And if I don't have the answer, I know how to find it.

OPERATOR TRAINING
We are all operators, and we all need training and help. I tailor training sessions that match the requirements and level of each student. I will teach you how to set your system up to suit your requirements.

PROGRAMMING
I have written many programs in my career starting with assembly language up to the new 'visual' tools using OOP. (Sorry for the acronym, but this is intended for the businesses that understand this talk). If you have a need for some programming support, get in touch and we can discuss your need. You can see more detail in my resume: Chuck's resume

I have avoided mentioning, by name, any particular area or product that I support, first because it would be a boring list, and second because it is constantly changing as I get into new areas. For example, as you see here, I am beginning to create and publish 'home pages' on the internet. This is a new area for me and I am learning as I write. So if your need involves PCs and you are looking for help from someone who has no financial interest in any particular line or products, send me an e-mail at the address below, and lets talk.

Good Luck!! and thanks for stopping by my home page.
